I can not fathom how Singaporeans eat such starchy rice on a daily basis. I had problems finishing my plate because I felt queasy because of the rice. Well, that aside;
AFA was a blast. Now I've been hearing how people have been saying that the "objective" of the event has gone from educating the public of Japan's "soft power" to full blown corporate commercialism. And you know what? I don't really care.
For all it's worth the event was much much better than last year IMO, and I had a lot of fun attending it. I did not, however have fun spending all of my money on things there. Call it impulse buying or whatever, but you certainly have issues when you buy 6 cans of coffee for 20SGD when you don't even drink the damn beverage.but then again I suppose I bought it because it's a limited ed version with Evangelion prints in it. Yes deru, Kaworu's magnificent pose is on said can of coffee.
Aside from that, my spoils of war include the latest edition of Newtype of which I got psycho'd by Victor into buying it, a Nendoroid Saber Lily (as if a RM400 1/7 scale figurine of the same character isn't enough), 1 set of Weiss Schwarz Idolm@ster deck and 2 booster packs, a Gundam00 doujin for a certain someone, 2 (yes TWO) trips to New York New York, and 3 rounds of Mos Burger.
Somewhat regretted buying the Saber Lily nendoroid because for the same amount of money, I could have used it to buy more WS booster packs, but oh well.![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)

In any case I'll post up the pictures from my camera later. Am posting this at work and I'm so bored outta my skull that I decided to blog a bit. I have some pictures of the Regional Cosplay competition. It's quite beyond me how the Gundam00 skit won as I thought the Sakura Taisen skit was better than theirs. And laffo @ Masako's and Sizer's skit. Haven't laughed that hard in a while. One of the funniest skits I've seen, IMO. ( '__')b
p/s: Alodia and Ashley are pretty hot. ;_;
pp/s: I didn't go to the Moe Moe Kyun cafe, concerts or K-On dubs. Was too engrossed in Weiss Schwarz. Yes, I missed a whole lot of attractions because of card games. AND I DON'T EVEN READ JAPANESE WTH. Oh but who cares, the game is quite fun for me, so it's fine I guess.
